The earthquake stopped this movement, but the rock remains a notable feature. Beaches: The area around Kounopetra also offers beautiful beaches, such as Vatsa Bay and Vrachinari Beach, known for their serene settings and clear waters. Visiting Tips: Accessibility: Both Lixouri and Kounopetra are easily accessible by car or ferry from Argostoli. If you’re staying in Lixouri, Kounopetra is a short drive away.
